So it's officially Christmas time!!! And for me, it ain't Christmas until I watch my favorite Christmas movie..."Trading Places" starring Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd, and Jamie Lee Curtis. I've watched this movie religiously every year on Christmas Eve since I was twelve years old and I never miss it...Not for anything or anyone. When I was a kid I didn't care too much about watching Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer like other kids. I did enjoy watching A Christmas Story, but nothing beat watching Eddie Murphy go from rags to riches in the 1983 comedy classics "Trading Places" that took place in the streets of Philadelphia around Christmas time. Eddie Murphy played a small street hustler and con artist that switched places with Dan Aykroyd's character that was a rich stock market guru and ultimate example of rich white privilege. Their positions and fortunes are switched because of a joke by two bored super-rich brothers (Don Ameche and Ralph Bellamy) as part of a side bet around Christmas time. When they both find out how their luck really switched they both team up to get revenge against the two super-rich brothers and cash in at the same time!!! So every year since my adulthood I try to find a bottle of Jameson neat, kick back and have a great laugh every night before Christmas morning. It's probably my ultimate favorite Christmas movie ever. If you've never seen it you gotta go check it out. You'll love it. You can stream it on YouTube, Amazon Prime or Google Play Movies.
